How do I get my file?

Strava: open the activity on strava.com, click the ··· menu, then Export GPX (or Export Original for a FIT file). Files from Strava's bulk export (.gpx.gz, .fit.gz) work too.
Garmin Connect: open the activity, click the gear icon, then Export to GPX.
Apple Watch / other apps: most apps have an export or share option that creates a .gpx file.
